Self-Directed Elite Athletics

PSAA Self-Directed Elite Athletics is for student athletes who are training at an elite level in their chosen sport outside of the programming being offered. Students are able to participate in programming for academics five days a week, while still retaining the flexibility they need for competition and training.

Self-Directed students attend class with other PSAA students whenever they are able, and can seamlessly transition to distance learning when travelling. Time is then made available for self-directed training. Students can still participate in Sports Science and Total Athlete Development classes if these classes fit within their schedule.

Self-Directed Schedule

A personalized plan is created to allow students to attend class for academics and have flexibility to accommodate for competition and training. Upon registering, PSAA administration will meet with the student and their family to discuss options. Please note: it is preferable to arrange self-directed schedules to match the PSAA master schedule so as to allow for participation in Sports Science and Total Athlete Development activities.
